How I Can Help

People come to therapy for all sorts of reasons. You might be dealing with something specific, feeling stuck in a pattern, or simply wanting to understand yourself and your experiences better.

I work with adults and young people aged 16+ across a range of concerns. Here are some of the areas we can explore together.

Areas of Support

  • Grief and loss

Grief can affect every part of life. Whether you're grieving the death of someone you love or coming to terms with another significant loss, there is no right or wrong way to feel. We can make space for your experience and explore ways to navigate life while honouring what matters to you.

  • Trauma and PTSD

Difficult or frightening experiences can stay with us long after an event has passed. Trauma can affect how we feel, think, relate to others, and experience the world around us. Therapy can help you work through these experiences at a pace that feels manageable.

  • Anxiety

Worry and fear are part of being human, but when they become persistent or overwhelming, they can start to interfere with everyday life. We can explore what's contributing to your anxiety and develop ways to manage difficult thoughts, feelings and situations.

  • Depression

Depression can affect your mood, energy, motivation, relationships and ability to enjoy the things that once mattered to you. Therapy offers a space to understand what you're experiencing and explore steps towards feeling more connected and engaged with life.

  • Adjustment and life changes

Major transitions, unexpected events and periods of uncertainty can leave us feeling unsettled. Whether you're navigating a change in circumstances, a personal crisis or a new chapter in life, we can work together to help you find your footing.

  • Self-esteem and self-worth

The way we see ourselves can influence almost every aspect of our lives. If you're struggling with self-doubt, feelings of inadequacy or a harsh inner critic, therapy can help you explore where these patterns come from and develop a more balanced relationship with yourself.

  • Relationship difficulties and separation

Relationships can be complicated, particularly when communication breaks down, needs go unmet or circumstances change. Therapy can help you make sense of relationship difficulties, navigate separation and work through the emotions that accompany these experiences.

  • Workplace stress

Work can be a significant source of pressure, particularly when expectations, relationships or changing circumstances become difficult to manage. Therapy can help you understand what's affecting you and explore healthier ways to respond.

  • Parenting

Parenting brings plenty of rewards, but it can also be challenging and exhausting. Whether you're navigating family changes, struggling with particular behaviours or feeling overwhelmed by the demands of parenting, we can explore strategies and perspectives that may help.

  • Loss of a companion animal

The loss of a beloved pet or animal can be deeply painful. The bond we share with them matters, and the grief that follows their loss deserves care and understanding. Therapy can provide space to honour that bond and work through the emotions that come with saying goodbye.

  • Non-death-related loss

Not all grief follows a death. The end of a relationship, changes to your health, the loss of a job or a significant shift in identity or circumstances can all bring a sense of grief. We can explore what this loss means to you and how you might adjust to life as it is now.
